Docketbook is heading to FCON23
The Docketbook team are excited to be heading to Melbourne next week to participate in the Future of Construction Summit – Disrupted, as exhibitors and delegates.
Taking place in Melbourne, the summit pulls together leaders from across construction and infrastructure to challenge the norm and discuss opportunities to improve innovation, technology adoption and collaboration to improve productivity and sustainability within the sector.
“FCON23 is hugely important for the entire sector,” says Docketbook’s Mark Shepherd-Smith. “We have all seen the statistics that show how construction and infrastructure’s productivity has been at a standstill across recent years, something that must be addressed if we are to deliver work for clients to schedule and budget while ensuring that every part of the supply chain is able to benefit from ongoing investment in major programs of work. It’s a theme that resonates with our team as we have actively been disrupting the use of paper-based dockets across the industry and seeing the gains made.”
“In many ways, our solution, which removes administrative burdens, improves data processing and accuracy, simplifies workflows, and speeds up data management and processing, fits the theme perfectly. Within our industry, we know that our greatest asset is our people, so I am hoping that a key theme for the conference is how we better equip our people to do their jobs as efficiently as possible so that they can spend time doing what they do best, which isn’t collating, managing and processing paperwork or time-consuming data entry; it is solving problems and creating solutions that support infrastructure delivery and construct assets that enhance societal well-being and economic growth.”
“Events such as FCON23 are essential to the future health of our industry. The entire industry knows that we must adapt and change the ways in which we do business. Disrupt or die has become a bit of an overused buzzword in our industry, but the reality is that we need to be better; whether that’s through wholesale disruption or incremental change is almost irrelevant, change must happen, and I hope that FCON23 is an event we can look back on in the years ahead as a line in the sand moment for productivity improvements in construction and infrastructure.”
Docketbook will be exhibiting and be available throughout the conference to demonstrate our technology and showcase the benefits of integrated digital docket management and processing for lead contractors, material suppliers, labour hire companies and anyone who wants to disrupt the purchase and payment processes and get rid of paper-based dockets once and for all. “Our Enterprise Implementation Consultant, Michelle Forsyth, and I will be available and are excited to connect with organisations who want to tackle productivity and improve project performance through using an innovative solution that already has a track record of success within the industry,” said Mark.
